Paradise Fields Bat Walk

Join Sean and some bat pack helpers on an evening bat walk at Paradise Fields, meeting at 8.30 pm at the underpass from Mcdonalds’ carpark, UB6 0UW. You’ll get the chance to use a handheld electronic bat detector to listen to bats as they echolocate at ultra-high frequencies to find food. At this time of year we may even see young bats learning to fly and hunt. All ages welcome, under 16s to be accompanied by an adult. Paradise Fields is largely accessible with tarmac or hoggin paths but in order to do a full bat survey we will be venturing off path across grassland too and some areas may be damp underfoot so strong, waterproof footwear and a small torch/headtorch are advised.
