Costons Lane Upgrade News

We’re thrilled to announce that Costons Lane Nature Reserve in Greenford is getting an exciting upgrade — and it’s all for the community!

Thanks to a generous grant from the Your Voice Your Town Greenford Community Fund, our project “Costons Lane Nature Reserve: Enhancing Community Access” is officially underway.

So what’s happening? We’re creating a covered outdoor area on the reserve — weatherproofed for rain and free to use — which will be perfect for nature-based activities, outdoor classes, community get-togethers, and more. Whether you’re a school group, a yoga teacher, or a group of neighbours who love the outdoors, this space will be for you.

The last two volunteer sessions have focused on clearing this area. It’s towards the back of the site and was an impressive thicket of brambles and wild rose. Sterling work over these sessions from our wonderful volunteers has been a great first step for the project.

We’re also planting new trees around the perimeter of the site, so the reserve will be greener and more beautiful than ever. This is all about making Costons Lane a place that works for everyone in Greenford — whatever the weather!

A huge thank you to Your Voice Your Town Greenford Community Fund for making this possible. We can’t wait to see this wonderful space come to life!

Please contact Fiona if you have ideas for using the space and we can chat. And do come along to our next open day on May 16th – find the details in our Events Calendar.
