Come join the next of our volunteer days where we’ll be working in two socially distanced groups of 6 to get our new nature reserve in shape! We will be mulching our brand new native wildlife hedge we planted last week and preparing the ground for and possibly (hopefully!) planting our woodland trust trees should they arrive. All are welcome, but we only have 12 spots that will first be come first serve, just click the register button above to fill out the contact form and reserve your place! If you find you can’t make it, please let us know so we can open that spot up to someone else thanks! On the day bring sturdy, waterproof footwear and thick gloves if you have them though we do have plenty to share. The entrance to the reserve is off Ruislip Rd across from the Lidl Car Park, we have a sign on the gate!
Come join us on Horsenden Hill where we’ll be creating new habitat features like log piles and refugia for Common Lizards, possibly Ealing’s rarest reptile. There have been a small population of lizards on the hill for a number of years but the last sighting was in 2018. So this work will aim to improve their habitat and extend their range across the hill to boost their numbers. If we’re lucky perhaps we’ll even spot one of our scaly friends. Bring sturdy boots and gloves if you have them, if not we can provide.
We’ll be working with two socially distanced groups of 6 and participation is first come, first served using the register button above. If you sign up and can’t make it later please let is know so we can offer your place to someone else.
