📍 River Brent, Mayfield Bridge, just behind Mayfield School
Join forces with EWG and our fantastic conservation partners from Clean Up the River Brent (CURB) as we continue our mission to remove the invasive Himalayan balsam.
You can work at your own pace and take breaks whenever you need them.
It’s surprisingly satisfying work, and you’ll be amazed at how therapeutic pulling up invasive plants can be!
Later in the season we’ll be returning to plant native species in all the areas we’ve cleared.
Meeting point: in front of Mayfield Bridge, just behind Mayfield School at 10:50 – https://maps.app.goo.gl/mRvsw2UvW38tJZxr6
Parking is available on High Lane, before the school.
Remember to bring: lunch, wellies, gardening gloves if you have them (we will provide them if not).
And if you would like to join a working party to do this valuable work on a regular basis, please let us know at ealing.wildlife.group.volunteers@gmail.com
