Come and join us!
As spring really gets going we are going to have our first Bioblitz of the year – an opportunity for us to take a break from hands-on conservation work and see which animals are making a home for themselves in the reserve. Come along and see what you can find – whether you just want to stroll around the reserve and see what you spot, spend some time in the bird hide, or take a more active approach and use some of our sweep nets and pond dipping equipment, everyone is welcome.
No previous experience or expertise is necessary – we’ll have people and resource on hand to help you use the equipment and identify what you see. We would also encourage you to log your sightings on the iNaturalist app or website so they form part of the records of the reserve and feed into the national recording schemes. If you haven’t used iNaturalist before we can talk you through the process of recording, and how the system can help you identify what you see.
The gated entrance with an EWG sign is on Ruislip Road East across from the Lidl Car Park, between 61 Clifton Road and 31 Costons Lane.
All under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
We’re a volunteer-run group and all our events are made possible by members who generously and enthusiastically give their time and expertise.
We believe access to nature should be free for everybody but if you want to support us with these events, you can donate here https://ealingwildlifegroup.com/donate/.
Thank you!
