Community Outreach Officer – Ealing Wildlife Group

Connect Ealing Residents with Nature!

Are you passionate about wildlife and bringing communities together? Join Ealing Wildlife Group as our Community Outreach Officer and help us protect local wildlife by engaging with Ealing’s diverse residents and organisations to encourage involvement in our work. Working alongside our dedicated core team, you’ll help ensure our community of volunteers reflects the vibrant diversity of our borough.

What You’ll Do:

  • Create and deliver engaging nature-focused events, reaching out to our local community through planning talks, educational workshops and a range of communications.
  • Build lasting relationships with local schools, businesses, religious organisations, and community groups
  • Help manage our social media presence and website content
  • Work with conservation partners to create an impactful environmental calendar for the borough
  • Make our activities welcoming and accessible to everyone from all walks of life
  • Support our core values of Community, Conservation, and Collaboration

We’re Looking For Someone Who Has:

  • Enthusiasm for wildlife and local conservation
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Basic digital skills (email, Google Drive, WhatsApp)
  • Local knowledge of Ealing
  • Comfort in talking to diverse groups of people
  • Ability to commit 2-4 hours per week for 12+ months

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience working with volunteers
  • Event planning skills
  • Basic WordPress knowledge (training provided)
  • Experience creating learning materials

Whether you’re new to conservation or have years of experience, we’d love to hear from you! This volunteer role is perfect for someone who enjoys connecting with people and wants to make a real difference in their local community. No formal qualifications required – we value enthusiasm and potential just as much as experience, and our team will fully support you in getting up to speed.

Time Commitment:

  • Monthly team meetings in Ealing Broadway (second Wednesday of each month)
  • Approximately 2-4 hours per week (varies by task and events)
